Montreal, Canada // Travel

After Vancouver, I headed straight to Montreal for another conference. I had heard lots of wonderful things about Montreal so my expectations were quite high, and unfortunately, the city didn't live up. Admittedly, I'm not sure I really saw the best parts of it since my sleeping quarters were situated such that I had to walk back and forth each day to the conference down a haphazardly zoned street that went directly through Chinatown. Plus, I never really figured out where the locals go for a good beer. But anyway, what Montreal may have lacked in charm, it made up for in good times. I spent many-a-nights out and about with some good friends I only see once or twice a year, and I laughed and laughed till my cheeks hurt and my abs burned. Mads and Adam (those tall guys in the pic above) have that stereotypically Danish dry sense of humor that I love and a worldliness and warmth that I adore. Having lived in Copenhagen before, I have a bit of a soft spot for anything Danish, and these two only make it worse.
