Sentier Martel is a famous hike along the Verdon Gorge in south-eastern France. If you are ever in the area, it would probably serve you well to check it out!! Some of the hike details are here, and I even found a hike profile drawn out here. It's a pretty hike, and to be honest, the pictures don't really do it justice. Although the hike is only about 14km, it was much more of a beast than I was expecting when I traversed it in June last year. We definitely took our grand ol' time stopping for pictures and the expansive views, but even accounting for that, I didn't actually think it would take as long as it did to complete. Dinner at the Auberge du Point Sublime at the end of the trail was key! I can't necessarily speak all that highly of the food, but with a lack of options, it suffices for some quality rest and recoup.
