I hopped in a van and rode on down to Tybee Island this past weekend for some real SEAkayaking. It was my first time in legit sea swell in a kayak, and it's a darn good thing I took that Dramamine. I'm no expert when it comes to paddling through breaking surf and surfing the waves... ahem, I'm what they call a work-in-progress! Nonetheless, I'm scooting off to Scotland this summer for a 10-day seakayaking adventure, so I've gotta get my butt in gear, my ducks in a line, and my act together! Inevitably it'll be rainy and cold with 3 foot sea swells and 15 mph winds. As my dear friend and mentor says, "There is no such thing as bad weather— only poor preparation!" Here's to that!
